My aircon is not very cold

Featured Replies

I have a 2011 superb  which I've had for 4 or 5 months ( the warranty has run out ) and now the weather has warmed up  I've noticed my aircon is not very cold . It gets a bit colder with the A/C switch "ON"  but not like I'd expect.

We scanned the A/C bit with the VCDS and these are the relevant bits:

The feels like it gets a bit colder so I presume the compressor is working .......

These numbers were taken after 20 minutes or so of tickover.

The temp after the evaporator is 21 degrees.....I'd have thought it should 5 or 6 ???

I'd have also thought it should be clever enough to know it's output temp is not cool enough ???

Is 7/8 bar good enough pressure ??

Hopefully it just needs a re-gas....

 Has anyone got any ideas??

 thanks

 Chris

Mine dropped off after 4 years a regas sorted it

its advisable to get the air conditioning refridgerant  done every 2 years, as 25% is lost naturally

And run it once every 30 days regardless or the seals dry out and the gas goes on hols.
