If I remove my three rear seats what sort of weight am I losing from my Yeti 1420kg. kerbweight.

The caravan mtlp is 1076kg.

I think you would lose about 50kg bringing the kerb weight down to about 1370kg.

Taking a safe 85% ratio gives you a MPLM limit of 1165kg so you should be fine!

My unscientific guess would be somewhere around 50kg.

Based on taking out the centre rear seat and thinking "this is quite heavy", and factoring in the other two seats being a bit bigger.

Mine weigh a tad under 47kg.

What are you trying to achieve?

I have the leather seats and don't want to damage them, for one thing ,

and it gives me a bigger load space for the bulky stuff, like wine and caviar

I take out the back seats in mine to give more room when away with the van in France.

I bought a 2nd hand Fiamma Cargo Bag  http://www.agentfiamma.co.uk/fiamma-cargo-back-storage-bag.html  off ebay for about £25, and find I can fit two camping chairs with footrests and the camping table in it. I pull a strap around it and find I can lift this into the space vacated by the rear seats and nothing gets marked.

The alcholic refreshments can then be piled up in the footwells and undernath the bag, keeping the weight well forward.
