Air temp sensor

Featured Replies

Evening all,

My outside air temp sensor has failed. It's currently reading -1 degrees which although it wasn't a warm day today isn't right! Does anyone know the location of it and the part number? Assuming it's an easy swop? Thanks

in front of rad easy to pop off. Mine read wrong took it off to have a look, popped it back into place and it worked as it should.

It's a really stupid design - the sensor is stuck out in the front of the radiator and has an exposed cable connector with no protective boot. You can see the separate wire cores in the harness. Other connectors in far less exposed positions on the same vehicle have boots...

My car used to give stupid temperature readings each time I washed it with a hose. Self-amalgamating tape covering the connector to cable junction cured the problem - replacing the omitted boot.
