Bolero upgrade - Error codes and such

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2005 Elegance that had a Revision F Can Gateway and a Stream stereo.

I've used VCDS to code a Revision K Can Gateway (ebay) then installed a Bolero stereo that i'd previously bought.

One thing i was disappointed to see was that when reversing, the radio display does not change.  The Stream stereo display changed for the parking sensors and i assumed the Bolero would be the same.  Is there a fix for this?

Clearing the errors and then running VCDS report the following Radio errors.

The first error is because I haven't used a aerial adaptor and just plugging the aerial into the rightmost aerial socket which seems to work.

The second is presumably because AUX is enabled, but i haven't yet received and installed my AUX cable.

However, i'm not sure what the 3rd one is about.  It won't reset, and any coding i try to do to the stereo through VCDS doesn't take effect.  Lil help?

As you said once you've fitted the AUX cable that fault should dissapear.

The antenna fault I've had since I fitted a Bolero a couple of years ago. I've tried 3 different 'splitters' with no luck.

Unfortunately the older PDC, won't display on the Bolero as newer cars use a different system called OPS. It can be retrofitted if you can't live without the graphics.

Another option is the Polar FIS+, which i believe will bring the parking and heater graphics back, but its not a cheap option.

Sorry to hi jack, I've just gone from stream to bolero do I have to code it to get the aux to work?

Yep, using vcds open then radio section and aux was the first option in the list. Tick, save, done.

You'll need the cable too, I paid £12 on eBay.

What cable do I need? I've got the aux port in the arm rest so I guess just a bit of coding then.

I am referring to the aux audio cable that I will run from the back of the bolero to the glovebox
