Clay, wax and rear de-badge at the weekend

Featured Replies

Finally got a chance to give BR15KY a good clean at the weekend.

Pressure wash, snow foam, pressure wash, 2 bucket wash, towel dry, clay, seal and wax  :whew:

While I was at it I de-badged the rear.

I think she came up all right  .

Oh and 10mm spacers on the rear (not very clear though)

You missed a couple of badges ;)

Very nice..!

I need to get a hang of this whole claybar business. I'm afraid I'll damage the paint if I try these things myself..!

Plenty of guides on line, that's what I did.

Then had a practice on the wife's car (but don't tell her  ;)).

To be honest I did't realise how much contaminants would come off a virtually brand new car (it's done less than 500 miles), I did it because in a couple of places I could hear the "rough" noise as the wash mit went over them, so decided to clay the whole car.

Now after a couple of coats of wax the body work feels silky smooth to the touch.

Looks great [emoji41]

CheeRS guys

Very nice job she come up nicely race blue looks so good clean

I assume the VRS badges must be harder to remove as everyone seems to leave them on. :-)

Well it's more discreet in the bottom right ;)

With the car now and clean + lighter with the badges removed, what's 0 - 60mph now...?

Now you start on my 10 year old Fabia VRS..LOL

I don't know about the 0-60 time as I'm running her in nice and gentle, 1000 miles (500 atm) and an oil and filter change then I'll let her go!

However DVLA have timed it perfectly to revoke my driving licence for 6 months (12 months for my HGV) because of a medical condition, and no matter how much evidence I provide that I'm fit to drive they will not budge  .

I could engage a solicitor to fight my corner, but in the unlikely chance that I loose an appeal it could end up costing me £6000.

So my nice shiny new car is sat in a corner on my drive and I can't drive it  :swear:

Greak work, nice plate...... the car is looking really good - enjoy!
