coding cmm?

hope im posting in the right forum...

i replaced the window reg and loom that goes with in my mk1 vrs. got one from a breakers from a 2000 1.9Tdi

when i switched them over i could only work drivers window and door lock with the drivers door buttons.

none of the other windows or door locks would respond. someone suggested i might need to recode the ccm..??

ive no experience with vag com apart from checking for faults.

does this sound like an answer to get all working again.

I plugged my old loom and window reg back in and everything worked ok again except drivers door this time

seems like ive messed somethin up...

any advice welcome
