acceleration delay

Featured Replies

Hi all.

i have a wierd problem with my superb 2007 2.5 tdi (engine code bdg), when i accelerate at the begining until about 2000-2200rpm there is a very annoying delay! its like the car has no turbo and all of a sudden it turns on and the car flies forward.

i checked for errors and there is nothing there.

it happens when i drive slowly 1st 2nd and 3rd gears, at 4th and 5th all is good (the car has an automatic gearbox by the way).

i would appreciate any help...

thanks in advance.

  • 4 weeks later...

well let me cheer u up ...i have no power in my car whatsoever in any of the gear ..i have forgotten the day that i last overtook another car at 90km/h. lol  :D . i am coming to an understanding that the 2.5 v6 engines tend to fail quite often. well in my country the mk1 superb only came with the auto 2.5 litre v6. lol
