Hi guys, drivers door has stopped working with the key fob. Manual only. Boot and other doors work fine. Also I have noticed that the drivers side electric wing mirror has stopped working too. Related?

Cruise control has stopped working too but this happened first and don't think it's related to this. Any idea where to start with this? Can live without it tbh but if it's simple enough then cool.

Hi, lots of stuff about this kind of caper. Best place to start is door card off, inspect loom for fatigue and breakages, particularly where wires pass through door pillars. Lube the lock mech. I suspect though it may be a multiplug issue, slide the clip up and check for corroded and missing pins. I posted how to check and protect this plug in the tech section, and there is other stuff. I suspect whichever pins relate to your locking and mirror may be gone. Have a good inspection of the basics before you panic, a bit of ingenuity and time could save you bucks here.

P.s it's worth putting your car with your name or some detail in your signature, it will help us help with the more specific issues. This one above though is common across all mk1 octys, it's basically water ingress as it passes through the doors to drain.
