limited edition vrs or facelift model?

Featured Replies

I'm considering 2 vrs's. One is a 59 plate octavia limited edition, the other is a 60 plate octavia facelift model. There's £200 difference but the facelift model has over 20k more miles on. Which would you say is the better buy?

The one with the less miles. It should cost you less in the long run, but it is a car though lol. Good luck with the decision .

I have an le.. Wouldn't swap it for a FL... But then it's no longer standard..

The limited edition has lower mileage and is cheaper. Only difference is the limited edition is further away. Not really in the just popping down to view distance.

the inside of the LE will be exactly the same as the facelift as they put it in them also you get the gorgeous leather seats in the LE . really depends on what look you like the facelift or the older look as mentioned earlier the inside of both will be exactly the same. i would go for less miles ( but also a little biased as have a LE myself

Personally I don't like the LE wheels are horrible (sorry if that afends anyone) and I don't like the front end on older model prefer front end on fl with drl...

Also what millage are we talking about???what are they both on???

I just don't like the style of them Imo just doesn't suit the car as well as Neptune's or zenith but that's my opinion each to there own... the leather seats etc are nice

i like them as they make it look different . would be boring if we all liked the same. agree leather seats very nice

I wish I did have those seats very nice indeed.. that's why I've gone down the route of making mine different from the norm

FL since they sorted out the stonechip issue on the sills by raising the paint level.

They are a 59 plate on 55k (limited edition) and either a 60 plate with 83k in grey or a 10 plate in blue with 65k on, both facelift models.

Personally I know I would buy the facelift model with 65k on the clock as that will also have the CR engine rather that the older pd engine (might be wrong ther)...all down to preference really mate oh hang on till something else pops up

The limited edition is a cr according to the listing seems that 58 plate onwards got cr engines instead.

June/July 2008 is when the CR engines started, my VRS has one.

That's good so at least you have the better engine... just depend on facelift or not I'm more to one side as I have a FL ;-)

Yup my le is definitely a cr

Bring back toxic paint I say

Mine had all the chips you talk about but was rotting on the sills as well. Not just individual chips. Feckin bean-counters stopping things being done properly.

Have you peeled back the wheel arch liners on the front? Damp leaves pile up in there and I suspect it encourages the rust form the inside.

I looked at the 2 fl models today. The 60 plate was nice but the 10 plate was shocking.

It had stained seating, several small dents and the panel gaps in the boot were massive. The rear end had clearly been bumped as it wasn't lined up and the plates didn't match.

I saw an 07 laurin and element but was a petrol and from the outside it looked plain.
