Replacing the thermostat.

Featured Replies

Four years ago the thermostat broke and was replaced at a Skoda workshop. It was the plastic arms that holds the actual thermostat that was broken.

The thermostat was replaced with the whole complete housing were the stat is included in.

Part # 06A 121 111.

Now, maybe the stat is broken again. I'm waiting for info from the shop.

But I have seen that you can buy the stat only, part # 06A 121 114.

It's of course cheaper. Are there any reasons why the shop replace the complete housing or is it OK to replace just the actual stat?
