VCDS suppliers.

I'm looking at Ordering VCDS today. I've been lookong at Ilexa who stock the pro kit for £347.70.

Lookong at Gendan they stock the Power bundle for £299.95.

The only thing I see listed any different is Ilexa supply a 90 page manual with their kit. Is this correct?

You only need the USB hex can really, circa £270 ish.

I work on cars in my spare time. I'm getting more and more VAG cars to do so thought I'd splurge on the full set up.

Unless you are working on really old VAG’s (that don’t have the OBDII socket) then as Jason has said the HEX+CAN is all you will ever need... unless you want the wifi version then go for the HEX-NET (Beta version only ATM and you would need to import it directly from Ross-Tech)

normal HEX-CAN-USB kit is 270 and covers all vw group vehicles from 2000 onwards.

The only extras you'll be paying for are a 14 pin LT lead, a 2x2 connector for mk2 golf's and the like, usb extension cable, a user manual and a carry case.

The only thing you're likely to use is the case.

save the 100 quid.

I use mine every day, even in the dealership.

Cheers guys. Ordered the £270 kit from Ilexa yesterday, Arrived this morning.

Cool - It's what I did about 5 years ago and never looked back, never gone wrong, never failed to do what it should.  Can't argue with that. :)

and Derek from said company is also a very nice chap.

Yes Derek was really helpful. I originally tried to order online on Monday but the page timed out after inputting my card details. I decided to call him on Tuesday to make sure the order hadn't been processed. He confirmed nothing had gone through and took my detail over the phone.

Package arrived this morning.

Installation was easy and I've already used it on my Octavia. I've changed the speed display from km to mph.

I just need to have a bit of a play with it to see what I can adjust/change on my car.

i ordered mine from ilexa aswell very quick delivery

treated myself to the case aswell
