turning off Columbus to phone connection notification

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I've found a couple of threads about the volume of the connection/pairing tone, but i was wondering if it is possible to turn off the phone connection notification completely. I find it completely unecessary to interrupt the radio for 5-10 seconds of silence and a splashscreen every journey to let me know that my phone has paired. I trust them to pair as they've been setup to do and would prefer to leave them to it whilst i enjoy the tranquility of the radio.

Does anyone know if this is possible via the columbus itself (i havent been able to find anything but then i didn't expect the tone menu to have the nav volume either) or via VCDS?

cheers,

zed50.

It must be a VCDS option.

When mine pairs a message appears on the screen to tell me it has connected but there is so noise and the music continues to play.

I've never knowingly changed a setting relating to a connection tone though.

When my phone pairs, a small silent note comes up in the corner of the screen and everything else continues as usual. No noise or delay. As far as I know this is the standard behaviour.
