Octavia VRS estate springs fit hatchback?

Featured Replies

just wondering if the springs off an estate Vrs would fit a hatchback? I know someone who has replaced their original suspension with coilovers so has original shocks and springs, if they would fit would be handy for me for spares

Fronts i would say yes, as for the rear I would say no. They may well fit but could be very hard on a hatch to compensate for the extra weight of snow estate body. Normaly hatch/estates are different.

No problem cheers, he's probably aswell to sell it all together would be worth more. Do you know if someone could fit these to a non Vrs estate?

Im running springs designed for police estate octavias on my hatch. No adverse affects at all bar improved handling

yes they do.

I run a set of Eibach springs designed for a vRS diesel wagon on my 1.8tsi sedan/hatch.  I really love the rear springs.  They firmed the rear up without too much drop.

Here's how it sits with the Eibachs, 17s and 225/50r17 (not the most sensible sizing choice for the lowered springs)

Cheers for the input, will be worth taking them then as I can get the full lot off him for about the same price as one new Vrs spring and I'm sure they will get used or if not sold on

The rears are easy to change.  You could try them out & see if you like the height & increased spring rate.

Sound very interesting. I'm looking to replace the rear springs on my Octavia estate. Can you tell us where you got your springs from please.

I rang Eibach direct and spoke to their aftermarket sales manager. Told him my requirements (150kg+ in the boot whilst looking oem height) and if they did anything which could help.

These do work. I was at a tyre place the other day and a bloke I was chatting to could not believe there was 150kg of kit in the boot. He said he would have said the boot was empty
