Bye Bye vRS

Featured Replies

Well yesterday was a long day.

I had my Ralley Green 2012 CR vRS for nearly 2 years and what a fantastic all-round vehicle. Very capable at carrying lots and with great performance to boot with +45mpg but got bored :(

That ended yesterday as I took it on its 287 mile last trip up from Devon to Matlock and traded it for a brand new Fiesta ST!

Then via my daughters at Rugby for coffee, brought the ST home on a 320 mile run and what a nice little motor it is.

I can see why for the last couple of years it has had great reviews brought an instant smile to my face (being a born again 18yr old with my XR2) as you may have guessed I'm having a bit of a mid life crisis the wife says :) but what a good one!

I will still hang around here as I find it a very good forum, thanks for the info gleened whilst I had the car.

There should be a really nice vRS coming up for sale around there soon it was totally reliable.

Very nice car, 2 of my friends have these. I assume all your off-spring have flown the nest, so won't you struggle to fit everything in on holiday or weekends away? The Mountune option seems very good value for money.

My next door neighbour let his Fiesta 2.0 ST go about six months ago, he hit 60 years old, then had his "mid life" thing for a couple of years. A little flying machine but I found it just a little too hard a ride for my ageing bones, and that was comparing it to my old Land Rover which was sheer luxury ride-wise in comparison  ... :)

Enjoy it Ben, but try to keep the points off your license, which is the reason my friends ST had to go ... he just could not keep the speed of that little red demon out of the stratosphere...     :)

All the kids are gone and yes it certainly is a bit of a pocket rocket :)

I give it a good couple of weeks but will probably look to put the montune kit on.

For a petrol on tick over it has a bit of a worrying rattle sounds like a pulley wheel and reversing on full lock as I have to on my drive it feels like clunking CV joints :(
