Octy vRS Suspension Upgrade

Featured Replies

Hello,

Been a bit pre-occupied with the birth of my baby girl  (now two months old) and so have been neglecting the vRS :( and not reading the website!

Anyway, I am looking at upgarding the suspension. I feel that the standard suspension is too soft and there is way too much body roll. I also want to reduce the gap between the arches and tyres.

Currently I am running with 18" OZ 5 spokes. Can anyone recommend a suspension kit that will lower the car aprox 30mm and improve the handling? I don't want to spend a fortune and don't want anything that will shake the car to bits - I once had Bilsteins on a VTS Saxo (Okay so we all make mistakes  ) with 16" alloys and it was soooo stiff.

I have seen a G-Max kit on ebay for

Congrats On Baby,

So

My Work Sells G-max And Koni And I Have Already Enquired Directly To

G-max And They Say They Dont Do Kit For Vrs Only Std 20 Vt

Koni Also Dont Do For Vrs The Reason Is Vrs Shocks/springs Are H/duty Compared To Std Octavs And These Kits Do Little To Improve On Original.

I Went For Bilstien Shocks (non Adjustable) They Are Very Comfortable And Are Not Any Harder Than Std But Notice Alot Less Bounce.

I Dropped It With Eibach But Only Dropped 15-20mm .

I Would Suggest If Wanting Handling And A Bigger Drop To Opt For Coil Overs Kw Or The Like They Are More Xpensive But You Will Get The Best And Ofcourse You Wont Regret It Once The Suspension Settles In.

Maybe Try E-bay Some Kits Are Sold Alot Cheaper If Budget Tight
