Hi from Norway..... quick question :)

Featured Replies

Hi, I am the lucky owner of a mk1 octavia 1.6 vrs wannabe.... I'll try and add some pics.... I am currently trying to do her up a little to make her more to my taste, I have found an aftermarket vrs rep front bumper as real ones are rare as fook here but it states on advert facelift only.... so my question is what are the differences in mounting points etc?? Could I modify a fl bumper to fit my pre ??

They did a facelift on the Mk1 in 2000 iirc so if you have a pre 2000 you will have to change other bits too. Hope that helps?

Lots of other bits, like front wings, headlights, all grilles, bonnet, front indicators. And for completionism the badges change at the facelift too.

Oh ok..... I didn't want to facelift the whole thing I only wanted to change the bumper..... If that's the case I'll just wait til I can find a pre facelift vrs front bumper to go on :)

The intend wasn't to scare you, but sometimes the best way to help someone is to tell them just how much work they're taking on and let them make an informed decision.

Also Mac is correct; there is no such thing as a pre-facelift sports model.

No vRS before face lift in 2000. So if you have pre 2000 model then it's a major job. As is stated bonnet, bumper, headlamps, bumper grills, bonnet grille, and possibly front panel and bumper bar.

Thanks for the info folks :) looks like I'll modify the original bumper or find an aftermarket kit that looks like an oem vrs style
