Central locking query

Featured Replies

Okay, so looked in the manual but still no wiser. Recently had to use my spare key for the first time as I had left my set of keys in the girlfriend's glove box in her motor (cue some frantic searching around the house while she was at work!), and although my main key unlocks everything, the spare only unlocks the driver's door unless you click it a few times to get everything else open. Hopefully I won't have to use it much, but can you change it to match the full opening everyday key without, as the manual, says visiting the dealer, or someone with VCDS?

VCDS does it CCM and untick if ticked

Channel 003: Selective (Single) Door Locking

  • 0 = Selective Door Locking OFF
  • 1 = Selective Door Locking ON

Your remote will also unlock all doors from a single press then. I don't know why your main key unlocks all though

I had this done by the dealer when I got mine second hand. I'm pretty sure I've read on here somewhere that each key has it's own settings.

Each key has it's own setting.

If you have maxidot you can do use the 2nd key and change it on there.

Ah, brilliant. I had a suspicion I'd changed my main regular one somehow when I first got it but that was 7 years ago so couldn't remember if I was imagining it. I'll give it a go later and report back IF IT TURNS OUT YOU'RE A BLOODY LIAR PHIL-E!!!! :finger:  :giggle:
