Tyre Pressure

Featured Replies

Only me and my son (14) in the car,is it front 33 rear 36?

It's on the inside of the fuel filler flap.

Had mine at 28 all round.

Front 2.3 bar, rear 2.1 bar.

For heavy load it needs more for back, I can't remember figures at the moment.

Bear in mind when answering, we don't know what size wheel and tyre option the OP has fitted. Manufacturer guide in fuel filler flap is key.

You are right. I assumed 14" stock tyres.

Yeah same here. I couldn't get the petrol nozzle to fit on the tyre valves....

Mine is on the inside of the drives door by the latch

Resurrected this thread as I just got my car back from being serviced.

On the way home I noticed it twitched going round a corner that it normally takes like it's on rails

Checked the pressures and they were 26 front and 23 rear (well the fronts were 26 one side and 30 the other)

I normally run them at 30 all round as the fuel filler gives the recommended (stock 175/65 x 14) as 29/26 unloaded and 32/36 loaded. As I sometimes run it loaded and sometimes not, 30/30 seems a good compromise. I've pumped them back to that and the handling is back to normal.

What do you run yours at?

I used to have my Sport at 28 all round. It was great like this.

What is on the sticker? Can anyone take a  photo, please?

I've got 16" wheels

I noticed an increase in fuel consumption over the last few weeks. My pid was showing average 59 mpg instead of usual 65. Checked tyres. They were down to 28 front and 26 back. Pumped them back up to pressure for unloaded ( sticker on driver side door arch) of 32 front and 28 rear and instantly fuel consumption back to normal.

You should check tyre pressures at least once in a month. And your tyres lasts a lot longer.
