Daft question time - Heko Wind Deflectors

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Pondering a set of Heko Wind Deflectors for Bismark, my question is, how exactly do the fit to the car?

I know they don't stick as such but I can't see any other way of securing them.

Help me out please :)

If they are the same fit as my MK2 Octy they simply slide into the window channel, they do supply a set of 'clips' but I never used them and never had any problems

Can I assume that you have a wind noise problem ?

I have just been on a long run with my new L&K and noticed an irritating whistle from the drivers side window area when travelling at speed although it is difficult to locate exactly.

Do you think the Heko wind deflectors might be of any use for my car ?

if I remember correctly, there is a section on the heko web site showing how they are fitted

I've got Heko's on my O3 and they literally just slide into the channel where the window goes. Put them in and leave the windows closed for a good few hours so they set into place.

Not sure whether one of them just has weaker adhesive but when sat in the sun for a good few hours it can be a bit temperamental when trying to re-close the window.

Also they've added quite a bit of wind noise at motorway speed but for the amount of motorway miles I do it's bearable.

It's not so much the noise, in fact I don't get any whistling it's more for the benefit of the hounds we carry in the back, just thought it might help airflow to them in the back.

If they don't stick on and as suggested slip into the window channel then I might give them a go.

Mence,

Go onto the net and look at 'Mick's Garage'. I have a new Octavia Elegance and fitted a set last week. The make they supply are called 'G3'. Cost less than £30 and work perfectly. Had them on previous Octavia also. They fit into the window channels and it only takes 2 minutes to fit them. Well worth the money.

Benzman.

I have a set of Team Hekos fitted to my car. They supply clips and I used them on two windows but not on the other two. To be honest, you can't tell on which one I have used the clips and which I haven't so I would worry about them too much.

I have found that they make a heck of a lot more wind noise than I ever had before though which is quite disappointing.
