Hi guys. New user here so be gentle!

I've recently bought a Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI (90bhp) which, whilst being a very nice and sensible car just seemed a bit underpowered. I've driven a 110bhp Seat and this seemed a lot more driveable. I swapped the 90 injectors for 110 versions and fitted a 110 ECU, set it up with VAG.com and it's running very nicely. Just enough power now. However the trip computer is going nuts. Somehow, even with my foot fully planted I'm getting 50+ mpg and the average MPG is at 99.9 ('cos it can't go any higher!) I'm still getting about the same mpg as normal which is a helluva lot less than 99.9.

My question is how do I set up the 'trip computer' to get an accurate reading?

I dont think you can, you have thrown it by changing the Injector size.

The only way it can be changed is to tweak the cars electronic map & I dont know anyone that can do that. If you find anyone let me know as I need to tweak the map on my Petrol Octy to compensate for bigger Injectors.

Might be worth a chat with Allards who have done a lot of work on Diesel tuning http://www.allardmotorcompany.com/allard.asp Talk to Lloyd Allard, he was getting over 200 bhp out of his 90 bhp Golf road car !!

may have been easier just ot have the car remapped in the first place... sorry... i know that isnt a help for you now.

Ah , but now it could be remapped on top of the bigger injectors for even more power

there is that, hence the go to other VAG tuners bit...

Just read your post again slowly !!!! You changed the ecu as well so it possibly should have worked, did the ecu & Injectors come off the same donor car ??

Have a chat with one of the tuners as others have said, I would go to Jabba, JBS or Allards, They have a good idea, we have a rough idea if you get my drift

As Dr zoidberg & Nigel have said now youve changed these bits a remap would be worth considering, you will be amazed at the difference & unless your silly with the right boot economy will be about the same or even better
