Does anyone know whats included in changing a whole door out? so far I believe it's this -

 

1) possibly recode door control module

2) change key barrel lock

 

Is this everything? Is it fairly easy to switch over the key barrel lock.

Not difficult two screws on door barrel and recode on window motor control module.

As above, hardest bit is wiggling out the lock barrel and getting the mech out passed the regulator. On the barrel is a small retaining screw, loosen but don't undo or drop it. And the main retainer below takes at least a dozen turns iirc, keep going until you feel resistance then stop. Then get wiggling. Note the position of the external handle cable in the teeth and fit in a similar position to ensure tension when you pull the handle.

changed a rear door once kept getting code on the scanner about the door lock, all worked fine, just wasnt the same door lock for some reason ecu didnt like that 

Yes you need the whole part number to match including any initials as far as I know, otherwise it needs coding. You may even get lucky with the used door!
