Steering noise

Hi

I have a 2005 Vrs and the steering was making a groaning noise from the left hand side. I checked the fluid level and it was low so topped it up. It made no difference. The power steering is not affected in any way, it's just that the noise is annoying and shouldn't be there.

 

Anyone any ideas what it could be please?

the pump could be naffed you sure it ain't a wheel bearing

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Not the wheel bearing. Could be pump I suppose, but no drop in performance. It's quiet when driving normally. Only noisy when travelling slowly.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have similar.

 

Or has anyone else experienced this?
