CV Boot

Featured Replies

Hi guys, Had the outer CV boots replaced last year by indy garage, I told them i wanted the genuine ones fitted which they did, Anyway just noticed the driver side is starting to leak grease (a very small hole somewhere in it) Was gonna bung some super glue in for the moment,  Just been looking at an online site to buy the boots so i could have a go at replacing it myself and it says NOT to use universal ones OR the stretchy boots either on the Octavia, Any reason why?

I've seen boots that are split in half, just remove the old one, put the new one on and glue it together

Yeah sticky boots, Crossed my mind but they don't seem to get very good reviews, Shame cos it's a good idea.

They probably won't last as long but will save money at a garage
