hey guys. great site. i have been lurking for a while but now feel qualified to post...

 

my spanker VRS combi arrived last week. moon white. black plus pack with 19" extremes which I think look so much better than the 18s. TDI manual. currently 450 miles on the odo. i bought the car as something 'sensible' to ferry the dog and baby thinking it would be fairly 'pedestrian' when pushing on but ive been pleasantly surprised. you don't exactly 'forget' that it's a diesel but i think the manual allows for much more involved driving experience. ave mpg 46 so far on a mix of fast motorway (85+) and b road pressing on... pleased so far...

fitted a hatchbag boot liner which i think is invaluable!  

 

i have found the ride a little harsh and the engine noise is quite pronounced during cruise..but i have come to this from a 5 cylinder volvo T5 which was a totally different proposition.... fast, as long as you havent got any corners on the horizon! so refreshing to have a car which you can actually turn ;-)

Hi,just had our new octy vrs tdi also and loving it,metal grey,black pack,privacy pack,awesome,after the yeti 140tdi we have traded I think the engine is so much quieter almost 300 miles now ,so nice to be back in a Octavia,,nice choice of spec...the white was my second choice,,lol.
