I am not sure if they are genuine or if they work with older setups (the part number is for a MIB setup) but at that price I thought I would try one with my pre-MIB Columbus, given they can be up to 30 quid normally. I will report back when it arrives.

Mine (genuine) had a white collar on it.

 

There was mention of a green collar to work with MIB.

 

Not seen one in black like that before.

Yes it is a green collar lead. I am not sure if it works with the pre MIB Columbus but we will find out soon...

Just to say this worked with my MDI and pre MIB Columbus. Whether its genuine or not is hard to tell, there is no vw symbol imprinted on it but not sure any of them have that anymore.
