vRS suspension creaking

Featured Replies

My Fabia vRS has really bad creaking suspension, is this something that is normal or is it something the dealer would look at for me or do I just live with it.

Whenever I open the boot or people get in and out of the car it creaks like mad.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

hi mate it sounds like a problem ive had before i think its the handbrake on the rear discs if you can try it without the handbrake on,on a flat surface of course!

How do mate. I had this problem when i first got the car, but 2k later and it seems to have stopped, would not worry to much about it, should cease after a while.

Might be what I just took mine to the dealer for and it was the brakes, he said to pull the hand brake tighter and see if it still happens.

If it is the brakes they can grease them a little but it does come back and is a common thing.

sounds similar symptoms to my problem which I thought was suspension. Turned out to be the rear bumper squeeking against the light cluster over bumps, I know of at least one other with the same problem - worth a check.

Mine's doing this too, getting worse and worse. Just hoping I can bear it for another 1500 miles and the 20k service.

Oh, mine creaks over bumps too, thouht it was front near side suspension, not so sure now...
