Hi,

 

New poster, please be nice! Have noticed that one of the blanking plugs in the plastic section underneath the windscreen where the wipers would be if it was left hand drive has disappeared! I've had a look online for a replacement but drawing a blank anyone got any idea where I can get from fairly easily or do I need to go to a dealer?

 

Car is a 55 plate Octavia VRS.

Strange, my MkII Octavia scuttle panel does not have holes for the left-hand drive wipers, I assume there are two different part numbers, one for right-hand drive, another for left-hand drive?

 

Mine looks like this, the two holes being for the right-hand drive wiper arms. The locations are there for the left-hand drive arms but there are no blanked-off holes...

As the hole is not visible with the bonnet shut,I suggest you look in the garage (or oddments drawer) for black duct tape or some other black sticky thing i.e. a chair leg pad and cover the hole with that. Probably not PVC tape as that will ooze adhesive and look messy. Also a hole filling grommet would do but if you are counting the pennies....
