We are thinking of selling the misses MK1 vRS and getting a 1.2TSI Monte. I've been to look at one today as I was passing a garage, it seemed nice 40k, 61 plate. 

 

Is their anything I need to know about these? I know they are on a cam chain (anyones slipped)

 

Whats the 1.2 like I had a 1.4vRS and although I didnt have an oil issue plenty did. Also from memory isnt the 40k / 4 Year service a major one? Does anyone know what needs doing?

 

I'm going to take my VCDS laptop on Saturday and take it for a drive and see if it logs any faults.

86 & 105 PS Models. So check what it is, some are mis-advertised.

 

Some had an Ignition lead issue, some a wiring loom replaced under a Service Campaign, also heated seat elements,

but that should be sorted now.

Brake Fluid should have been done at 3 Years which was Minor Service time, and due again at 5 years.

Air & Fuel Filter maybe to change.   Spark Plugs changed maybe if not done already.

Just the basic stuff really.
