Having got over my escapade with mis-fuelling, I've now got myself a replacement fuel filter. Not being a technical type, I wonder if anyone can tell me how easy it is to swap the unit over ?

Pretty easy.

Disonnect the input and output on the supply side by removing the clips and sliding them back. The pull the wire clip out of the valve on the return pipe and ease up. Unclip the three tags on the top of the filter and slide up and out.

Refitting is the reverse, make sure you fit the supplied new seals to the valve on the retun side. The just start her up and check for leaks.

are the fuel filters self bleeding then? I noticed there was no primer on it but just wondered how long it takes to crank the new fuel through or is it done by the electric pump??
