Central locking issues

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

i have finally managed to get my deadlocked front passenger door open!

i have stripped the door down and removed the inner metal skin which was glued/stuck down (prob the last owner had sorted out the leaky doors). In the course of removing this i have bent the metal skin in several places.

As it was riveted down, i drilled through all the rivets including the ones holding the arm for the window.

My window is now being held up by some wooden planks.

I bought a replacement locking mechanism (new NOT oem) from ebay and fitted it on sunday.

Now my door does manually lock and open. I can open manually from outside, manually from inside by pulling the cable. (havent put it all back together)

It seems that the central locking doesnt work - when i lock or open using the fob, all the others work as they should and this one doesnt.

When i try manually locking or unlocking initially it wasn't working. (I contacted the seller and he immediately sent me another one.)

It is now locking the other locks and it opens them too. But when using the fob to lock or unlock this one doesnt lock or unlock.

I have also tried the replacement one and it is doing the same thing.

Have i missed something as it is not popping up or down like the other front door lock.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Pedro
