Had my vRS SE about 18 months now. Love the car for the looks, running costs and poke. The only thing that niggles me is that it handles like a shed on a skateboard! It really does not inspire confidence when you push on and the brakes aren't the best either.

My dilemma is that I don't do many miles for work now so I could afford a petrol hot hatch again. My previous cars have been a Civic Type R EP3 and a Corsa VXR Nurburgring so maybe I was expecting too much from the Fabia in that regard.

The question is do I throw a bit of money at the vRS trying to improve the handling (is it worth it?) or just get something that handles well out of the box?

I guess I'm not convinced that it's ever going to be fantastic with a heavy diesel lump up front and a relatively narrow wheel base.

There are some KW V3's in the for sale section which will transform the handling. :notme:

Mine handles really well on them and based on the previous owner (Bossfox) when he took it for some tuition around Brands Hatch the instructor commented how well it handled and was set up.

Admittedly it will always be a bit front heavy but have been on several trackdays now and am always impressed with how good it is.
