columbus 510

Featured Replies

Hi new to here so thanks for reading....I've found a columbus 510 out of a superb 61 plate in a breakers yard...my question is do these come with a code to turn them on or a cd or is it a case of just fitting it to my octavia.....also does anyone know which model came in a 61 plate superb ?? Any advice would be appreciated thanks david

You'll need a security code (a four digit code to enter when you turn it on) before you ca use it. Easiest way is one of the Ebay sellers for a tenner or so and hope it's not been recorded stolen. If it was a factory fit in the 61 plate then it should be fairly up to date, but it'll at least be the newer LED screen rather than the less good LCD screen.

Well it's from a breakers yard I'm going to buy it then...would the code be in the service book or hand book if I can find it ?

And I see some with a cd for sale what's that ?

It's unlikely you will have the code as it's stored inside the dash clocks from the factory.

The maps are loaded onto the internal hard drive by means of a DVD. It could be that it comes with this DVD.

Ok cheers fuys

Don't I read somewhere that you also need the VIN number of the car it was fitted to to get the code from the dealers or ebay? Just asking because if he's going to get it it may be worth taking note of the VIN.

The model number is 3t003568oc just before I buy can anyone confirm if this is the lcd model and can be decoded please ??

It's an LED model, and can be decoded as long as it's not reported stolen. If it is recorded stolen then Skoda won't give you the code. If that's the case, then try sending me a pm.

That's a bloody good price! They normally go for around the £400 mark!
