Can't get my contacts to show through Bluetooth using Samsung galaxy alpha

Featured Replies

Hi,

Bought a fabia monte carlo at the weekend and paired my phone with the Bluetooth. I can play music through media etc but cannot get my contacts to show.

Any ideas?!

When first connected, did you check the box on the phone to allow contacts to be shared? You may have missed it if the phone had locked - IIRC on mine the message came up about 30 secs later and I happened to still have the phone unlocked but when doing SWMBO's it had locked before it so had to purposefully keep it unlocked to allow the message to come up.

As above. You need to tick the box that'll flash up.

I have the same car and phone and the contacts listing is ok but I can't get the Bluetooth function to play music, one day it works next day it doesn't.............help appreciated.

Could it be a bad update?? My borrowed SIII updated yesterday - and now it says my 80Mb fibre connection is "too slow" and insists on using 3G for internet use.

Easily fixed in the 'service menu' on your S3.

Thanks, it is a borrowed phone, while my Umi is away for repairs; I will have a look through the menus when I get a chance tomorrow.

Think it is under smart network switch (which is a subheading from WIFI). Had it misbehave on me in the past.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Skoda Fabia. Can't get more than 3 contacts to sync despite removing phone and starting again. Any ideas?

Have you deleted each from the other (ie unpair the bluetooth relationship in both the car and the phone)?

If you do that, the first time you try to connect it will bring up a 2 boxes one after the other. One is for phone settings (ie call history, phonebook etc) so make sure you accept this one.
