Fabia Mk1 vrs-new owner

Featured Replies

Just a quick one to say hello, two weeks ago I got a fabia mk1 vrs, changed from a Astra sport hatch 1.9cdti 150, only reason being really was I have a hound son and getting him in and out of a 3 door was havoc, so needed a five door.

I was originally looking for a audi a4 or 3 series BMW. But then got swayed by the looks of the new Skoda Octavia. But with that being out the price range I looked at older model Octavia vrs, but wanted 2 keep with the Diesel engine, that's when I remembered a friend of mine having a fabia a few years back and always admiring the looks of it and trailing behind it a few times the performance for such a unknown car at the time.

So I looked up fabia on auto trader and found a tidy 2005 model in silver, clearly been looked after and covered 94k so a deal was done on the day.

Driving it home for the 50 mile trip I must admit I smiled all the way, surprised how such a little car can pack so much punch from it's engine with such a good ride, smiles for miles is 10/10.

Anyway for fear of boring you all too death I will be on here regular looking for advice on day to day running and possible cheap mods.

Thanks

Hi Chum

I bought my MK1 VRS about a month ago and am loving it. Just had a Revo re-map which has really perked it up!!!

Cheers

How much did the re-map cost?

I've been looking at getting it done as I've read it takes them from 130bhp-164bhp and the torgue from 310-360+.

Thanks

Hiya

The upgrade cost £299+ VAT, makes the car feel complete!

:D
