Skoda Fabia Handbook?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, anyone know where I would get a handbook for my skoda fabia 1.4 2002? i just bought the car yesterday and got nothing with it

try ebay, they usually turn up on there for a couple of quid. Sometimes you can find one in a scrap yard.

Don't forget, the glove box has a 'false floor' that lifts up from the right front edge just to the left of the deep part. Sometimes the manual can be found under there.

Cant the dealer help?

No, they won't help.  All car dealer brochures handbooks etc. are re cycled as soon as they are out of date.        Ebay is the only way to buy one.

NOT what Skoda say on http://www.skoda.ie/owners/ownersmanuals/ownersmanuals2

From page "If you are looking for a manual for an older ŠKODA, please contact your local retailer. " . BUT, I seem to remember something on here referring members to a site where older down loads could be found.

Also plenty of useful info on Fabia 1 forum. As in ,fuel cap has cut out , to enable fuel cap to be parked on flap whilst refuelling. Common to most VAG cars, but I'm surprised at how few owners know this.

i've still got my manual for 2004 MK1, PRINTED IN 2003. If I can pass on any info in there - PM, and I'll try to help.

Brochures for downloading----yes but not a hard glossy version.

As you mentioned the fuel cap rest position,  Audis and VW all have it.

Soot1e -- i did say "Common to most VAG cars," :notme:

I too have just bought a Fabia  2001 1.4 - all docs with the car except the handbook

I'll look on E-Bay  - but any suggestions as to other sources would be appreciated

I have a complete book set from a 2003 Fabia that has gone to a better place.

I do not own any Fabias.

Find the pdf one referred to in post #7 and print any pages you want to have 'handy'?

It's not the most exciting read TBH.

And how strange that almost all VAG owners don't know about it. ( possibly because the entertainment manual comes higher up the list). I've lost count of the number of times I've seen folks with new VAG drop the fuel cap down the side and the look on their face is worth it when I show them how to store the cap, and then the question "how did you find that out". :swear::wall:
