New octy 3 owner - retrofit mfsw

Featured Replies

Hi all, this is my first post here, only picked up my octy 3 2.0tdi black edition yesterday, it's about 8 months old with 5k on the clock.

I absolutely love the car, a few functions that I wanted aren't on the car but I got it for a good price and its an absolutely mint car.

The main feature that I wanted was a multi function steering wheel. Partly because I'm lazy but partly because my wife is too small to comfortably reach the Amundsen infotainment centre.

I have read about retrofitting them and some people have said it plugged in and worked where as others needed new controllers and then coded to the car using vcds. Does anyone know how I would go about checking if a new controller was needed?

Thanks

Darren
