Config options: USB and electric windows

Featured Replies

Hi

Two quick and pretty petty questions about what might be configurable on the Octavia by the dealer.

Firstly, is it possible to set the USB socket to give charging power all the time - or at least all the time the ignition's on, rather than only when the 'infotainment' is on?  Would be useful for charging phones when the radio etc is off.  I know the 12v outlet is always on, but the positioning of the USB outlet is simply neater for phone charging.

Secondly, on my previous Fabia, the electric windows stayed live for about 30" after the engine stopped and key removed. Useful for when you realise the windows are still down a bit.  On the Octavia the power goes as soon as the key is removed.  I'm aware that locking the car and holding the lock button will close all the windows, but again it's a convenience thing.

If either of these are configurable it's useful to know.

Cheers.

Tried the windows again - my mistake, they do remain live when the keys out, until the door is opened.  I must have had the door open the other day when I tried it.

USB query remains though.
