Fitting a towbar

Featured Replies

The time has come to fit a towbar to my 2011 FL estate :-)  On my old mk1, I was just able to connect into the wiring near the rear nearside light cluster.

However looking at the various towbar offerings from PF Jones - http://www.pfjones.co.uk/tow-bars/tow-bars-for-skoda/skoda-octavia-towbars/tow-bars-for-octavia-estate/octavia-estate-2005.html

It seems I can get a bar from about £80, but I'm not sure on the wiring... can I just get the bypass relay for about £15, or do I need to buy a full kit costing from about £100+  Only need single, 7pin socket, but I have no idea what T/P is, so I don't know if I need it or not.

Won't be towing any caravans or other evil items - just a box trailer.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Matt
