Help me!!!

Featured Replies

I have just started trying to fit rear audio speakers in my skoda fabia 1.9 sdi and when taking out the current cd player to see all the wires I accidently pulled a cable out of the back (the switched power supply cable from the cd) - when I plugged it back in I blew a fuse in the fuse box - replaced fuse but now only have ability to eject the cd so I know that there is some power getting - no display and nothing else works - I assume I have blown a fuse somewhere else (not in the cd player as I have tried it in another car and it works fine and I have also tried a different cd player in the car which again gets some power but does not show a display or function in any way) - I have discovered there are some fuses on the battery (well in a compartment over the battery) and can find no info as to what they are for or whether they might be related to the problem.

Any help would be appreciated -

Cheers

Sounds like you only have a permanent live to the stereo and not a switched live feed.

You'll need to check the wiring at the back of the stereo if all the fuses are intact.

Whereabouts are you in the country? Someone local may be able to give you a hand
