when the big services in a fabia, is it best to get a service every yr or 10k miles whatever comes first

It depends what engine and mileage annually, and what gets checked DIY, regularly or you are paying someone for.

If the car does less than 10,000 miles a year you probably best get it inspected and any maintenance done at least every year.

The Oil & Filter could be changed as well.

Fluids, Tyres, Wiper Blades, Brakes, Brake Pipes. Suspension, etc etc. pre winter maybe.

Oil and filter can be on Variable Servicing like 18,500 miles apart with the correct oil on a high annual mileage car,

but then you probably still need Service Inspections annually, or even more often.

Then there are Bigger Service Items, Brake Fluid at 3 years then every 2.

Cambelts / Water Pump as per Service Schedule.

Air Filter, Pollen Filter, Inline Fuel Filter.

With a Fabia the servicing usually goes.

Minor , major, major service time about.

But that does not mean wheels have been off in 3 years or more, or rear brake drums.

You go by what you want, need and what is safe.

How old a car is and who has done the work in the past or if you know it was done.
