Cruise Fitting Errors

Featured Replies

Just fitted the cruise control kit to my car.

Followed instructions perfectly however it does not kick in.

I've got an implausible signal error on the engine ECU. I've also noticed that even after activating, rather than having G000SG I've got G200SG??

I'm also not 100% sure I got the right wire on the ECU. I followed the guides and have attached it onto the only white wire in the big block plug.

Anyone got any advice? The cruise shows up on the central electrics section when you press the buttons etc all indicators change (EG: Reset section.)

Thanks :)

I'd guess there's no wire from the ECU to the "block plug". It's why it's become more usual to wire it straight to the ECU.

Ps: fault codes return as soon as they are cleared

Tech1e or EddieNL is your men you should PM, they should be able to assist you.

Thanks for everyone's help. I discovered I hadn't terminated it correctly on the ECU end of pin14. I had used a temporary solution just to test the system and it clearly didn't give good enough contact.

Doing the job properly the first time would have helped!!
