Bootlid plastic panel finish on inside

Featured Replies

I didn't get any pictures but do all hatch vRS come with material covering inside bootlid cover?

OR

Is it related to the Canton option?

OR

Is it a fix for the booming issue?

The MY16 model I seen today had a material cover on the plastic cover. I didn't get to check the Combi as it was locked.

I presume you mean the hatch cover trim, if so then yes they are covered.

Mines a 15 plate and is covered, however I also the Canton system but I can't see that making a difference.

My December 2014 VRS also has the material

But I do also have Canton

My Combi 2014 (non Canton) has plastic.....I didnt get a chance to check on MY16 Canton.

If its only on moedels with Canton then I assumed it might be to help with sound distribution.....sub in boot.

My MY13 hatch (Elegance) was material, my MY15 estate (L&K) is plastic. Both had/have Canton.

I guess that doesn't help clarify much though :)

Ok so I collected mine, and comparing to Hatch in showroom;

Hatch - Canton --> Material

Combi - Canton --> Plastic

Maybe all Hatches get it....Combi's don't.

That was the conclusion I was coming to as well :)

Strange as to why Hatch over Combi.

Were all booming issues on hatch?

My Estate (Golf) has Dynaudio & plastic, but we get the sub inside the spare wheel in the wheel well, which is much better placed for sound IMO.

I lowered my VBF today and have had to turn the sub down ........

Anyway, I think we are getting a bit off topic
