Does anybody know if there's a strength difference between the two different N75 valves?

I believe the alternative will be, one fits and the other doesn't.

Not that I've tried swaping before but the bottom one is the Vrs type.

Yeah, they stopped using the top photo n75 in 2002 I believe. My 2004 Fabia estate had the Vrs type n75.
