Hi folks,

 

I'm picking up my first Superb on Monday (2009 2.0 TDI CR 170 SE 5DR DSG), and I'm looking at my options for connecting an iPhone, both wired (lightning cable) and wireless (Bluetooth).

 

Looking at the head unit and checking the internet, I believe it's a Bolero, most likely the RCD-510 as manufactured by Blaupunkt, but I don't know that for sure.

 

I've read through the many posts on Boleros and Bluetooth (thanks to all the contributors on these forums, you're great!), and one of the solutions that may suit me best is the Xcarlink, which connects to the head unit directly via the CD changer port.

 

But, the Xcarlink can't be deployed when the head unit has a built-in CD changer, which I believe at least some Boleros do. So, I have two questions:

• Do all Boleros have this built-in CD-changer?
• If so, can it be disconnected so the head unit port can be re-purposed?

I don't need the CD changer, so I'm happy to disconnect it if that's possible.

yes m8 all Boleros have this built-in CD-changer
