Oil leak near boost pipe and EGR valve?

Featured Replies

I have an oil leak near the EGR valve and it has got into the boost pipe. There is a tonne of muck/oil down left side of engine where it's obviously happened over a long period of time. Any suggestions as to where I should be looking first? Any common issues with this kind of thing?

Most probably you haven't, oil vapour comes from the crankcase breather pipe which feeds into the air intake and therefore the boost pipes.

It's then escaped from the boost pipes from the shoody joints/connections.

The hole in the top of the EGR valve leaks also.

Possibly a boost leak since the 90° Pipe leaks most the time.

Get a picture maybe.

I had the same mate, my EGR valve was leaking, fitted a delete kit and it's been fine since, been checking for leaks and drips of oil on the drive every day and nothing since
