Maxidot Question

Featured Replies

I noticed today as I drove home from work that the brightness of the maxidot seemed to slowly go up and down. Light assistant had turned my headlights on when I left work and they stayed on all the way home so it wasn't a case of the display dimming in reaction to headlights going on. Does anyone know why this happens or if it is normal? Is it related to the ambient light? I did pass under trees etc on the journey. Or is there just a fault?

I've not noticed this with my display, I'll check next time I get the chance, although I don't have Light Assistant.

I think i'm getting somewhere. On the manual page covering the dash illumination brightness, it says the maxidot brightness adjusts automatically. It would make sense that it would adjust according to the ambient light picked up from the light assistant daylight sensor which comes with light assistant. Yours probably dims in a single step when you turn on your lights

Makes perfect sense :)
