Alternator problem!

A week ago my alternator doing strange noise only on cold starts then after 1 min it goes silent ...and when i thrown heavy load like turning on aircon and headlights on alternator the battery light comes on my instrumental panel saying ALTERNATOR WORKSHOP. I dont know whats wrong ..i recently changed the idler thought noise coming from idler but i was wrong . any help or assitance will be so appreciated .

I'm thinking alternator or sense wire failure. A few basic checks with a multimeter should confirm this.

Hello people, I got a 2011, VRS a few days ago. Primarily for a long trip. Seems decent so far, but I want to add power, music and just get things working. I have a few issues/questions. Ok, Matrix Leds are fantastic. When driving on A or B class roads they working perfect, illuminates both sides of the road and cuts out cars at the front or oncoming traffic. I've never been flashed. When I tried to use them on motorway it's a different story. Right headlamp is illuminating as expected but left one doesn't illuminate side of the road but only gives a lot of light far at the front of the car.. Kodiaq 2026 PHEV I set the lane control to 'Off', set the alert control to 'off', and various other settings that I want. But when I next switch the car on, all my settings are lost and I have to re-set them. This is a complete pain in the ass. How do I save the settings so that they stay set?

I am having problems with the rear offside door lock on our 2018 Super 2.0L SE Technology diesel estate. The drivers door switch panel includes the two child lock buttons. When locking the car the rear offside door remains unlocked, therefore we have to keep it locked via the small turn screw on the edge of the door. Having looked into new lock prices, I decided to try a second hand one from a 'reputable' supplier, only to find that this replacement is doing the same thing. I conclude therefore
