That's definitely not maxidot. You can tell from the picture that the bit in the middle is just a blank and not the screen.

Clusters are generally not that much due to the re-coding work needed to get them working in another car.  Not convinced they will be able to work in your TDI to be honest.

Will the red needles on those fit the poverty-spec cluster that has white needles?

Needles are just pop on / pop off, so can in theory be swapped.  As can I guess the backing film with all the speeds etc on them,

 

So there is a chance of a bit of a transplant of parts of the vRS clocks into the TDI clocks.

Saying that, the speedo calibration will be out as the vRS clocks get to 90mph then go "half speed"

 

TDI clocks are all the same speed through the range so I doubt if you used the vRS backing film, it would ever read the right speed (apart from at standstill )

I've never messed about with these clocks, but I have read if the needles are removed or messed about with, they need calibrating.

Thoughts?
