I got 2 key fobs with the VRS, I would just like the second one to allow me to get into the car in case I lock my self out, so by that meaning manually unlock the door however it does not turn in the door and in the ignition either

Sounds like they gave you the wrong key . Check the numbers are the same on the metal part of the key . Will it unlock doors by remote

I cant see any no's, it just says FAB on both

 

It will not unlock via remote on the spare

Do they look the same pattern

on close examination, no not the same

 

I bought the car 2nd hand and the previous owner bought it new from Skoda

 

what can I do?

Either be really careful with your key or contact supplying delete and state that the unused supplied spare key has been supplied wrong . Some key cutting places can cut and code new keys much cheaper than a dealer if no joy there . Good luck

supplying dealer have said it will be £150-200 for a replacement key as the car was bought 2nd hand and the original owner should have tested the spare when purchased

 

so what shall I do next? I only want the spare key to allow me to get in to the car manually and that's it

contact whoever you bought the car from?
