Columbus Audio/nav system

Featured Replies

Hello All,

I have the columbus Nav system which plays DVD Films for the Kids (Not me of course) and plays very well via the head unit.

Does anyone know if you can stream movies etc for your phone/Ipad direct to the head unit and if so how.

Of course it plays via bluetooth music but I dont seems to be able to stream movies.

Any Ideas please :-)

The simple answer is no. It only supports video input from the DVD drive (or the DVB Tuner if fitted).

The "new" Columbus infotainment system supports video over USB or SD (AVI, MP4, etc).

Thank you for the reply and it sounds like I need a good reason to replace the car for the New Superb III then   :-)

There's a socket in the back of the Columbus for plugging in a reversing camera. Getting a video streaming module to go into this might allow you to do this, but it probably would cost the same as getting a bigger screened tablet device to play the video on directly while being less versatile.

You mean watching DVD on Columbus unit or watching DVD in the back via Columbus unit? If from Columbus directly...it's stationary, isn't it?

I've used you tube via onboard wifi for my son to watch 'Peppa Pig'  :p from the tablet in the back.....not sure if that helps
